More than 200 boys and girls volunteers of the NSS units of the College of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science of the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana took out an impressive rally as a part of the the project, "Culturally-Sensitive HIV/AIDS Reduction, Intervention Training project in India" sponsored by the Claflin University, Orangeburg, USA.
Flagging of the rally, Dr Tejwant Singh, Director Students' Welfare-cum-Project director stressed the need for strong commitment among the youth to come forward to create awreness among the masses. He also urged the youngsters to spread awarness against AIDS.
Dr.K S Verma, Programme Coordiantor, NSS and the Project Coordiantor of HIV/AIDS awareness Project said the volunteers marched in two rows with the banners and placards in their hands through the Ferozepur Road, Bhai Bala Chowk, Ghumar Mandi Chowk, Government College for Boys road, Saheed udham Singh Nagar, 12 and 14 types residences and PAU hostels.
